Marketing Strategy

Essential Marketing Tools

So you want to start doing more in-house marketing, but you don't know what tools to use to ramp up your efforts? Look no further. Below is a list of the top four marketing tools we use here at Neon Supply. Frankly, we don't want to have to ever go without them.

Essential Marketing Tools

1. HubSpot
HubSpot is a customer relationship management (CRM) tool that allows us to follow conversational marketing etiquette and build better relationships with our contacts. We can automate and schedule marketing materials, track tasks that need to be completed for clients, monitor sales deals, and so much more through the platform.

It saves us time by storing our files and customer data and giving us the freedom to schedule posts and emails for times when we may not be at our desks.

In case you were wondering, we have the Marketing Hub Enterprise, Sales Hub Professional, and Service Hub Professional plans. We're a HubSpot Partner and happy to answer any questions you have about its CRM!

2. ClickUp
ClickUp is our favourite project management tool because of how much it can do. We can track the status of client projects and collaborate in real-time, use it to structure our meetings and create tasks immediately, and establish and monitor our entire team's workload so everyone knows what needs to be done on any given day.

3. Slack
Slack is used for our internal communications for anything not directly related to a specific project (if it was, we communicate about that via ClickUp comments). It offers free and subscription versions so you can choose what best suits your business.

It also offers helpful integrations with other apps like ClickUp and Google, among many others.

4. Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
While being able to access both are immensely valuable, the cost of both isn't doable for every growing business.

If you have someone who can already use Adobe Creative Cloud's programs to create marketing materials, you'll want to go with this option. If you don't have someone well-versed in these programs, you'll want to opt for a Canva subscription. Canva is more user-friendly, has less of a learning curve, and is cheaper than Adobe, but still allows you to create beautiful on-brand content.

Conclusion
These tools are essential to our day-to-day marketing operations because they streamline our work and keep us on task and on the same page. Having tools that can do this makes a world of difference to all businesses, not just marketing agencies.
